Why we built USADocForms
Most people need a simple document only once in a while — a bill of sale when they sell a used car, a basic agreement between two people, a straightforward letter. Yet the common options are frustrating: hire a lawyer for a one-page form, or sign up for a $20–$50-per-month subscription service that makes you fill out the entire document, then hides the download behind a paywall right at the end.
We thought that was backwards. So we built USADocForms.com around one simple promise.
What we do
We make free, browser-based tools that walk you through creating everyday documents in plain English. Our guided forms ask simple questions, adjust the fields and clauses to match what you're doing, and generate a clean, downloadable PDF you can print and sign.
- Free to use — no subscription and no per-document charge.
- No login required — start using a tool the moment you land on it.
- Private by design — the details you enter are used to build your PDF right in your browser and are never uploaded to us.
- Plain-English — no legal jargon to decode.
How we keep it free
Running a website has costs, so we support USADocForms.com with unobtrusive advertising rather than charging you. That's the trade that lets the tools stay genuinely free for everyone. We deliberately place ads at natural breaks in the page so they never get in the way of finishing your document.
An honest note about what we are — and aren't
We are not a law firm, and we don't provide legal advice. Our tools produce general, self-help templates for informational purposes. Laws differ from state to state and change over time, so for anything important we always recommend checking your state's requirements and, when in doubt, talking to a licensed attorney. You can read the full details in our Terms of Service.
What's next
We're just getting started. Bill of Sale is our first live tool, with more everyday documents and helpful how-to guides on the way. If there's a document you'd love to see us build, we'd genuinely like to hear about it.
